One Airpod not working despite several resets.

I bought my Airpods a few days ago. From the outset, the right airpod has refused to produce any sound. Although I can see its charging status on my device, but nothing more. I have reset it several times with no improvement. I am in a location where I cannot access any Apple Store for support and I am hoping someone can share some useful tips. Thanks.
