WHY DON'T I GET A CANCEL CONFIRMATION WHEN I CANCEL A SUBSCRIPTION?

Apple says:

1. Open the Settings app. 
2. Tap your name. 
3. Tap Subscriptions.
4. If you can’t see the Cancel option, the subscription has been cancelled already and won't renew.
