If your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch won’t update - Apple Support

So do the last part of the support article and that is delete the update and start again.

Remove and download the update again

If you still can't install the latest version of iOS or iPadOS, try downloading the update again:

1. Go to Settings > General > [Device name] Storage.
2. Find the update in the list of apps.
3. Tap the update, then tap Delete Update.
4. Go to Settings > General > Software Update and download the latest update.

If you don’t see the update in the list of apps or if the issue

happens again, you need to update your device with your computer using

Finder or iTunes.

If you want to do the update over the air, make sure you're plugged in to charge and you have a strong Wifi connection. If that's not possible, connect your phone to your computer and do the update using iTunes.

Force Restart your phone:

• Press and quickly release the volume up button
• Then press and quickly release the volume down button
• Them press and KEEP HOLDING the side power button (keep holding past the swipe to power off and past when the screen goes black) until the Apple Logo appears, then let go

Make sure you:

• Are using a WiFi connection (not a hotspot).

• Have your battery charged at least 50%.

• Are not using a VPN connection.

• Do not have power save mode turned on.
