Can't have Macbook clock consistently ahead by x number of minutes

Dear Apple Community

Computer:

I have a 13 inch 2017 Macbook Air, High Sierra (10.13.6), with Intel i5.

Problem:

I like to keep my Macbook clock 12 minutes ahead of the standard time. Every time I restart the computer, the clock resets to the correct standard time.

For example, if the current time is 2pm, then I want the clock to show 2.12pm. I can do that by changing the time. But as soon as I restart the computer, the clock goes back to the 2pm (or whatever the current time is). I would like to keep the computer clock ahead by 12 minutes even after restart, and not have to do this every time I restart the computer. I could do this on my 2009 Macbok Pro, but it does not work on Macbook Air.

What does not work:

Ticking on or off the "Set date and time automatically" does not help. I have done a restart with both the statuses of the setting, and it does not help. Being connected or not connected to internet does not help.

I have time management problems (may be ADHD, but not sure), and rely on these gross external visual cues (watching the 'xx:00' in the clock) to stay organized. I really really need clocks around me to stay ahead by a few minutes. Any help is greatly appreciated.
