Desktop copied to cloud

I accidentally copied everything to the cloud and all folders have disappeared from my desktop. Time Machine won't allow me to restore them. How do I access the cloud to get them back?

Enter in www.icloud.com with Apple ID account credentials from a web browser shorten the size of window , click on iCloud Drive , in desktops and documents , just drag and drop folders from iCloud.com literally to the desktop screen .
