why is there a blue line under the name of the person I'm sending a text message.

when you send a text message, this blue line goes across and lets you know the message has been sent. If it stops close to the end, it will usually show - "text message not sent" I do not have a message that something did not go thru, but the blue line is 80% across the top..... how do I get it to go away?

Hello Kndn4! Thank you for participating in the Apple Support Communities.

We understand that you're unable to send an iMessage. We'd like to look into this with you to see how we can help.

The following resource has steps that can help with this issue: If you can't send or receive messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If the issue persists, try restarting your iPhone to see if that has an effect: Restart your iPhone

Make it a great day!
