When I tap the search bar at the top of safari on my iPhone, it used to display my favorites below the bar before I started typing. Now it just grays out the screen below the search bar. Anyone know if this is a change to the way safari works or a setting or something?

We understand that you aren't able to see your favorites when you tap on the search bar. Go to Settings > Safari > enable Frequently Visited Sites. You can find this information and additional details in Bookmark favorite webpages in Safari on iPhone.

Hey Jeff. Thanks for the reply. Here is what my settings look like for safari. I tried flipping “frequently visited sites” off and then on again and it still doesn’t display anything when I tap the search bar. I even tried loading up a few websites thinking it might need to populate the list of sites again and still nothing.

Make sure you're running the latest software in Settings > General > Software Update. Restart iPhone. Clear History and Website Data in Settings > Safari.
