All contacts showing blue

All of my contacts are showing blue as if they all have an iphone. But I know that some don't. It was working fine yesterday, but not now. I have an iphone8

That doesn't make sense. Messages you send to an Android, for example can't be sent via iMessage. They have to be sent via SMS. When you go to Settings > Messages > is SMS/MMS both turned on?

Showing blue where exactly? The way you know you're communicating with a non-iOS user is if the message bubble is green, not blue. Are you suggesting that you have sent a message to someone you know has an Android phone and the message bubble displayed blue?

Yes, it keeps sending the message as an imessage (blue) and not as a green (an SMS???)
