The issue of artifacts by iPhone12ProMax's camera
In the latest version of iOS, iPhone12 Pro Max's photos taken with strong light under the dark background are seriously distorted and there are artifacts.
Specifically, Smart HDR cannot be triggered in a lighting scene, and the highlights of ordinary fluorescent lamps cannot be suppressed (no matter where the light is measured), resulting in excessively high brightness of the light, unable to display the outline of the lamp. Also, there is a very obvious blue glare "Ghosting" which cannot be solved by adjusting the shooting angle, having a great impact on the camera user experience.
I sincerely hope that the issue can be solved in the next version of iOS, by improving the algorithm to reduce the EV under high-bright light sources, and restoring the original appearance
of the lights (lamps).
Please focus on the attachment for the sample! In this group of scenes, the brightness of the light seen by the naked eye is actually relatively low, and iPhone12 Pro Max does not show the normal brightness of the light, but deliberately brightens the light, resulting in serious overexposure! iPhone XR and my Android phone do not have this problem!
