iPhone 11 Pro cellular/phone service stopped working

So my 13 months old iPhone 11 Pro stopped receiving any cellular data 2 days ago, I now just get "no service". Swapped the sim card in another iPhone and it was working fine.

Brought the iPhone to a Genius bar, they ran their diagnostic tool twice and could not find anything wrong. They spent 15 minutes in their "backroom" doing some RF tests, nothing wrong either.

Next they did a factory reset on the phone, no luck either.

With no explanation for why my phone would suddenly stop working after updating to iOS 14.7.1, the only option they give me was to get a replacement phone for $549, since the warranty conveniently expired less than a month ago!

That's the second $1,000+ iPhone in 2 years that dies within 2 years, what's happening with the quality of Apple's products? My 16 months old iPhone 10 died after 16 months (constant reboots).

Anyone else experiencing the lost network/cellular issue?

Maybe your cellular data provider can help, I have an iphone XS on the latest ios and it still works so it has nothing to do with the quality of Apple product.

Have an iphone X that I gave to my cousin and it has no issues what so ever.

This is not an issue with cellular provider, I spent 1 hour on the phone with them, we tried all kind of things, that did not work.

I even tried my SIM on my wife's iPhone, and hers on mine.

The Apple Genius Bar confirmed that my phone could not get cellular service anymore, but they can not find out why.

The factory reset was the last resort option, that did not help either.

What bothers me is that Apple does not really seem interested in finding what causes a 13 month old product to fail, even though all their diagnostic tools confirmed that the phone was fine, and that my only option according to them is to purchase a new product.
