In wallet when I click edit passes and then go to scan code, it just opens my camera app. It does NOT scan the barcode when I focus the camera on the barcode. I tried different angles and distances and it will NOT scan. I have reset my phone as well. It does not work. Many people have had the same issue since 2019 and it doesn’t seem to be resolved.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. You've mentioned that you're unable to add your rewards card to Wallet. Are you running the latest software? You can verify this in Settings > General > Software Update. Do you have the same issue with any reward card you attempt to add? Check out the following link and let us know if this helps.

Do you have any issue with scanning any other QR codes or barcodes outside of attempting to add reward cards to your wallet? Have you also tried adding the pass within the app specifically?

That's not what I'm trying to do. So I am not sure about QR codes. I also do not want the apps on my phone so I don't want to add the rewards card to my phone by downloading the app. Also, it would be be easier and faster if I could scan the barcode. I want to add it by scanning the barcode. Is this something that you are able to assist with?
Scanning the barcode is an option isn't it? If so, that feature is not working because like I mentioned in my first comment, it just opens my camera app and does not register the barcode.
Specifically I would like to add my target rewards card, my cvs card, kroger, pet supplies plus, petco, Utrecht, walgreens and party city, library card and so on. It was a lot simpler to do this when I was using google wallet... I would think this would be an easy task on apple wallet... so far, not so much. Any way you can help would be great. Thanks!
