"Mail cannot save information about your mailboxes because there isn't enough space in your home folder."

After replacing the hard drive on my 15" mid-2012 MBP, and reinstalling Catalina and migrating all of my data from a Time Machine backup, every time I open Mail, after a few minutes I get the message above. I've tried everything I can find in Apple Communities to fix the problem, but nothing works. Any good advice out there?

Contact Apple Support:

Then, I'd say, contact Apple Support. Show them what is going on here, perhaps by screensharing so they can see this firsthand from your perspective.

Note: Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due to lots of calls. With the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :)

Hey @Darryl Ohlenbusch1

The Issue In Mail is "Mail cannot save information about your mailboxes because there isn't enough space in your home folder."

I Have A lot of Recommendations

Here Are Some of Them,

The Issue Describes There Is Not Enough Storage Space In The Home Folder to Save your Mail

    • Open The Home Folder And Make some Storage By Deleting Useless Files
    • Get a Empty Pendrive, Then Download Microsoft Outlook And Log In With Your iCloud Account Then Save The Emails You Want (⌘S) To the Pendrive

Then Try This

Get a Empty Pendrive, Then Download Microsoft Outlook And Log In With Your iCloud Account Then Save The Emails You Want (⌘S) To the Pendrive

It can Open With Outlook

If You Have tried this Before, Try Telling This To Apple Customer Care
