In messages, on I phone 12, when I swipe right, a time is indicated. Is this the time my sent message was read?

Timestamps next to messages in the Messages app are when messages were sent, not when they were received or read.

Time stamp sometimes when I switch my phone on I may get text messages. However, the time stamp is simply the same as the time that my phone received it. If I swipe left the time revealed is the same as the delivery time. Unless the sender includes the date & time, of writing, how can I determine when it was sent?
