Apple Watch battery dead out of the box

I just purchased my first Apple Watch. When I took it out of the box the battery was completely dead. I have owned multiple Apple products and I have always had at least a 30 to 50% battery life on my new products. Should I be concerned that I have a bad battery? I do not want to have problems with it down the road.

Yes. You should be concerned.

Perhaps this is a Faulty Device?:

You have a one-year, out-of-the-box, limited-warranty. Co, contact Apple, asking if they will replace it.

Note: Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due to lots of calls. With the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :)

I wouldn't be concerned. It's unusual but it happens. Charge it up and test it out. You do have 14 days (assuming you bought it from Apple) to see if everything is working as expected.

Within the 14-day return window, do NOT try to access the warranty service. It will take way too long. You'll need an appointment, you'll have to wait. Just take the watch back, return it and buy another one.
