My daughters iPad mini died and she uses her fingerprint to unlock but it needs the passcode to open this time. She said she didn’t change it but it will not open with her 4 digit code. Can’t remember iCloud password either. How can we bypass the passcode to be able to receive the reset password code on the iPad. Thank you

If the passcode to the iPad mini has been forgotten then there is only one option, and that is to reset the passcode. You will need to reset your passcode. You will need a computer to complete this task. Bypass or reset of a forgotten device Passcode is not possible. Instead the iPad must be restored.
If your iPad is disabled, or you have forgotten your iPad passcode, you have no alternative other than to follow this process:

You’ll need access to either a PC (with iTunes installed) or a Mac (with iTunes or Finder - as appropriate for the installed version of MacOS).

Use of a PC or Mac is unavoidable. If you don’t have access to a suitable computer of your own, that of a helpful friend or family member will suffice. Alternatively, the technicians at the Genius Bar of your local Apple Store will be delighted to assist.
