GarageBand not accessing microphone

Started using the IRig2 for guitar recording. Worked fine for a few recordings but now GarageBand won’t recognise the microphone. When I check settings/privacy/microphone GarageBand isn’t there. Have just downloaded AmpliTube and it does appear. Any help appreciated.

garageband volume too low when recording I've been using Garageband for years to record conversations; I just set up my laptop nearby and record, without an external microphone. Yesterday when I tried to do this, the volume was really low. The numbers on the display (I had it set to "time") were red, and while recording it was almost a flat line, like the volume was turned down very low. The volume is turned the whole way up; I verifed in system preferences that Garageband had permission to use the built in microphone; Nothing has changed since I recorded a conversation about 2 weeks ago. Multiple inputs to Garageband issue I followed all the instructions I could find on Google but can't resolve my issue. I wish to plug in my APOGEE Mic for vocal and my Electric Guitar via Rocksmith cable simultaneous to my garageband, however, the garageband only takes or detect 1 input. For example the Mic and not the guitar. When I unplug and replug the guitar, it detects, but Mic went missing. Its one of the other. How do I get more than one input like everyone else? What am I not doing right? Thanks

Garage band wont record my audio with or without a mic. I am using the most updated version of GB and it wont record my audio. I have a headset that has a built in mic. I have tried going to GB preferences, and changing it to built in, but that did not work. when I check the input audio levels coming from my mic for my computer it registers and shows up. Ive played around a lot with the setting and that has got me nowhere. Please help!
