It has been a nightmare trying to get the 3% back promotion for T-Mobile. I was initially told incorrectly to set up autopay using the website, and the Apple Card number, but that yielded only 1% back. After numerous regular Goldman Sachs customer service reps, I got a senior level one who was horrible. Even though it was a Goldman Sachs rep that originally gave me the incorrect information, she refused to honor the cash back difference (we're talking $3-4). It wasn't the dollar amount, but the principle of it. She even tried telling me to call T-Mobile and have them refund the difference, even though it was Goldman Sachs that made the mistake, and not T-Mobile. Well, it turns out the entire system is just a nightmare because I made an Apple Card Apple Pay payment for a bill today via the app (Note: YOU CAN ONLY DO APPLE PAY IN THE T-MOBILE APP, NOT THEIR WEBSITE), and I still only got 2% back. Still not the 3% that has been promoted. I'm currently on hold trying to call T-Mobile about it. I'm ready to get rid of my Apple Card and just go back to my regular 2% rebate credit card because the hassle of trying to get the various cash back promotions is just not worth it. Apple are you listening? Goldman Sachs is making you look bad with their terrible customer service. BTW, when you choose the text message support option for the Apple Card, it looks like it's Apple Support, but you're actually getting a Goldman Sachs rep. This again is very confusing, and makes Apple look bad when such terrible reps from Goldman Sachs are pretending to be Apple Support reps.
If you go to https://www.apple.com/apple-card/ this is the information at the bottom:
According to this blurb on Apple's own website, it clearly states that I should be getting 3% daily cash for purchases, bill payments and AutoPay on t-mobile.com and in the T-mobile app. THIS IS NOT HAPPENING!
Yes, your Apple Card is a MasterCard and is accepted worldwide my any merchant that accepts MasterCard.
T-Mobile is also a vendor that offers 3% back in Daily Cash. You must use Apple Pay, not the physical titanium Apple Card or the physical card’s numbers. If you use the card or the number, you only get 1% back.
You may need to ask T-Mobile support on how you use Apple Pay in their payment system.
