I can’t screen mirror Peacock TV from my iPhone to my Vizio

So why is Apple allowing the Peacock App to disable Airplay and screen mirroring? I did not allow this when I downloaded the App and nothing said it does this but it does.

Have a look here: If screen mirroring or streaming isn't working on your AirPlay-compatible device.

Have you restarted both the TV and iPhone?

Are both updated completely?

Have you tested any other videos from your iPhone besides what's available in Peacock? This can help isolate the issue further.

tried the apple Dongle as well, that also is blocked. you get a black screen with sound and that's it.

I also have this issue, using the Apple Adapter, and also believe Peacock has blocked mirroring. Black screen with sound, but the commercials play sometimes.

If you get a Chromecast and plug into you TV you can cast from your phone to TV with no issues. I was also able to go from my PC to my smart Tv but had some audio issues.

My issue is I am in an area with no wifi, if I hot spot it eats up my data plan but I can stream unlimited. Don't think I can do chromecast with no wifi on the chromecast side?

So bought a Crome cast and now have no issues casting to tv from Peacock

It's something you would buy. The cheaper version is about $25. Good for an older TV. If you have a newer TV the Chrome Cast is not necessary. Smart TVs can do the same things.
