Does Parallels work well on Macbook Pro M1

Hello I hope an engineer could help me regarding what laptop I should use, a lot has been telling me that softwares needed for Electronics Engineering will be only available in Windows. I'd like to know If I install Parallels and Windows in a Macbook Pro M1 will these softwares work well without crashing?


• Microsoft Visual C++

• AutoCAD

• PSpice

• LTspice

• Quartus

• Matlab

• Emona Tims

• Zilog


I am used to using Mac, I'm hoping someone could help me regarding this

MacBook Pro (2020 and later)

You're correct in that ARM Windows is required in order to run in Parallels on an M1 Mac. However, ARM Windows itself is able to emulate x86 (or x64, in beta) Windows applications. Can't guarantee that said emulation will be good enough for performance needs though.
