How to show battery percentage
How can I change the battery symbol to show percentage of battery left

If you have a phone with Face ID you can’t, because the “notch” takes up too much space in the status bar. You can view the percent value by dragging down from the battery icon to open the control center, or add a battery widget to your home screen.
