Can't download Roblox App

I'm trying to download roblox so I download roblox.dmg from the website and go through the process until I get to the screen that says "“Roblox” is an app downloaded from the Internet. Are you sure you want to open it?" and i press Open, but then nothing happens at all. Nothing else pops up and I've tried multiple times now. Please help

Thanks, if you right click > Open, (Or hold Control and click > Open). Does it open then?

Likewise, in System Preferences > Security and Privacy > General, do you see any app asking you to select, “Allow”?

You may also try moving the file to another location or right click > Open With and see what other apps will open it.

It sounds like you downloaded it from a legit web site, but if not, this may also happen, and the download may install some type of adware, although I’m sure that’s probably not the case. Let me know how it goes!

That said, also does the same happen to other downloaded files/file types or even if downloaded from another browser?

Thanks! Those answers may help to find the cause! Here’s another helpful article though, related or not:

Hey again! Thanks for the video that really helps!

Well for the second app you tried opening, I believe it wanted you to drag it the the “Applications” folder next to it before you’re able to open it from Applications.

I did see the Roblox part as well, so the same happens with another web browser? And you didn’t see any prompt to Allow or Open Anyway in Security and Privacy Preferences?

What do you see in those Preferences? Is “Allow apps from identified developers” enabled?

Do you run any type of other security software? It may be a good idea to test in safe mode, another admin account, even another network, etc.

This May help to know where to look:

Besides Safe Mode, if the problem persists, can you try in another user account? You can create a temporary one and delete afterwards if you need to. It’s not a direct fix, but might tell us where to look, thanks!
