Transfer email group to Contacts, as a group, on Mac

I've received an apple email with 12 cc addressees inviting me to join their group. If I transfer each one separately to Contacts, I'd end up with 12 unfamiliar addressees buried somewhere in my large list of contacts. I would then have to laboriously locate, identify and drop each one, before individually dropping it into the new contact group. Surely Apple has a smart way of doing this?

There's no easy way, but the contact should be select when you add it. If it isn't showing, arrow up/down to make it visible, then drag into the desired Group.
