Can apple finance a refurbished MacBook pro? I know in the past they did with the Barclay credit card but they are no longer affiliated. So, I tried to find the option for the Apple Card during the checkout process with a refurbished MacBook Pro but could not find it.

I did call last night after I saw your response. The customer rep I spoke with was confused because she kept telling me to refresh the browser that the option should come up. To give her the benefit of the doubt I tried it on another browser (clearing all cache) but that option never came up for the refurbished computer.
So this morning called Apple again and the customer rep confirmed that there is NO financing for a refurbished computer which is sad because I know for a fact that they used to (at least when they were affiliated with Barclay card.)
We are your fellow end users here volunteering tech support, not to support Apple's financial programs. You really need to ask Apple using the "Contact Apple" link at the bottom of the Apple.com home page or, better yet, the contact link on the refurb's store page:
That said, when I looked a few minutes ago, the sales page for a refurb MacBook Pro (see above) did not show a monthly payment option, whereas the sales page for a new MacBook clearly offers that financing:
So the only way to get the official word is to contact Apple. As much as we would like to, none of us can give you an official and/or binding policy answer.
