Recommend this to Apple:

Do your Part: Being of no option, provide Apple with feedback on this. Recommend that seeing the percentage should be an option. Apple wont get back to you directly, but the more they hear of this, the more they will know what their customers prefer, and what to include in updates to come.

To Provide Feedback:

1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
2. Select: "Feature Request" for the "Feedback Type"
3. Comment: that you want this to be an option.
4. Proceed form there as necessary

There is no way to do that and show battery life percentage at the top right corner (You only see the battery). To check percentage of battery life remaining you can SWIPE DOWN from the TOP RIGHT CORNER of your screen and then you will be able to see the battery life percentage.
