Examplify not opening on MacBook Air

I downloaded exam soft's Examplify to my MacBook 2 weeks ago, and it worked perfectly. In preparation for an upcoming test, I tried to open the application to verify it was still working. The application bounces 3-4 times in my dock, then immediately closes and goes away. I contacted my IT department people, and after several hours, they just created me a new account on my computer, redownloaded it, and now it works fine on that one account. I still cannot open the application from my personal account. They said it was likely some little obscure setting that needed to be changed in my user profile, but they were unsure what that setting would need to be. Are there any settings that I need to turn on or off to fix this issue?

Hi UMC2025,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. We understand that you are unable to open Examplify on your user account, and we'd like to help.

You've done some great steps to test this issue. Please try restarting your Mac in safe mode: How to use safe mode on your Mac

Safe mode prevents your Mac from loading certain software as it starts up, including login items, system extensions not required by macOS, completes a basic check of your startup disk, and clears cache.

Keep us updated on the result.

UMC2025,

Thanks for letting us know. Take a look at the requirements to run Examplify from their website: https://examsoft.com/resources/examplify-minimum-system-requirements

It does appear that it requires Administrator-level account permissions to run, so make sure your account is an admin account as mentioned here: Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac - Apple Support

If you continue to have issues, we recommend reaching out to Examplify support as they would have better insight on what setting might be causing this.

Cheers!
