How can I copy and paste an url from a browser to another, with the pencil 2 ?

I can copy it, but there’s no option to paste once in the other browser. I must use my finger to make the virtual keyboard spawn to have the paste option.

So, i Touch and hold for more than 30s, and it still wants to draw.

i made some other trys, and when i’m NOT holding, it somewhat works.

after some more attempts i feel a very light and fast touch have more success to trigger the paste and go option.

(I’m talking about Safari, Brave don’t have this problem, as the touch and go option is directly available, there’s no need to touch anything)

I am not sure which "other browser" that you are referring to. I tested the Copy and Paste option using the Safari browser on my iPad and Apple Pencil 2 successfully.

  1. Copy the link by going to the web address bar and Tap and hold, with your Apple Pencil, on the web address and the copy option should appear. Tap on Copy.
  2. Open another tab or another instance of Safari and then go to the Web Address Bar. Tap and hold, with your Apple Pencil, on the web address and the Paste (or Paste and Go) option should appear. Tap on Paste.

If you don't write with Apple Pencil in Safari's address bar to convert handwriting to text you can navigate to Settings > Apple Pencil, then turn Scribble off. This will turn written input from Apple Pencil off and copy/paste will function as expected.

A better option than copy and paste is to use the Share menu. The Share menu also works from URL links within webpages. You can add a Brave browser icon to the Share menu to open the current Safari webpage in Brave. Tap the Share icon and then tap the Brave icon.

You can also create a simple shortcut in the Shortcuts app, add it to the Share menu, and then use it to open the current Brave webpage in Safari.

The Open In Safari shortcut is very simple.

Make sure Show in Share Sheet is switched on.

You can create the shortcut yourself or download it with this link.
