I purchase a new iPhone with lots of storage. How do I stop the 50 GB storage plan?

You have to cancel the iCloud storage plan according to these instructions.

Having a phone with more storage means that your iCloud backups will be larger as well. You may want to give some thought to keeping the 50GB plan.

The phone physical storage capacity is different than iCloud storage. You may want to read this is well.
