How do I share calendars with my family group ?

iCloud is involved -- your location data is synced through iCloud.

When you share calendars, iCloud is also involved but you can use the Calendar app on your iPhones or other devices to share and access your shared calendar as described in Share iCloud calendars on iPhone - Apple Support

FoxFifth - Thank You for the reply with specific Apple Support links. I have read these links and a lot of Apple links within links. If I understand correctly, I cannot share my calendar events (kinda automatically) with my “family” without going through the iCloud. We must go through the steps in iCloud to read, add, or change appointment times and dates on both our calendars simultaneously.

For example: we can see where each other are thru family sharing with “share my location” turned on, on both our phones, then use the FindMy app. No cloud involved. That’s what I want to do with our calendars.

I have a 7plus and she has a 6s, both iPhones. If I understand, no cloud - no calendar sharing automatically ?
