Unable to download updates

am currently unable to update my applications as the apple id on it is no longer valid and am unable to change it
how can I proceed?

There is no Apple Support document specifically addressing these messages that I can find but these links have been Recommended by Apple ( https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7417834 ) and others with this problem:
