Privacy warning after reset

I got this after resetting my wifi. Does this mean someone has gotten into my wifi? And I’m being tracked? I called my internet provider and they said it wasn’t anything on their end. They suggested another reset but also contacting apple just to confirm it’s not legit and just an update issue. Just wondering if anyone knows if I should be concerned about it.

Hello, Stacie-M. Thank you for posting your question to the Apple Support Communities. We understand your situation and how you have noticed this privacy warning message on your iPhone when connecting with your personal Wi-Fi network. We’re happy to explain what this message means, and which steps you can take to resolve the warning.

To get started, we’d like to provide you with an Apple Support article. This article explains which Wi-Fi network settings Apple recommends to have enabled for the best security:

Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points - Apple Support (CA)

According to the article above, you will want to avoid enabling weak security settings for your network hardware. Using network settings that are less secure may prompt these type of warning messages to appear on your Apple devices. The article states:

“Settings that turn off security, such as None, Open, or Unsecured, are also strongly discouraged. Turning off security disables authentication and encryption and allows anyone to join your network, access its shared resources (including printers, computers, and smart devices), use your internet connection, and monitor the websites you visit and other data transmitted over your network or internet connection. This is a risk even if security is turned off temporarily or for a guest network.”.

We recommend following the suggestions in the article above to enable the network settings that will provide you with the best network security. For help with managing these settings on your network hardware, you may need to contact the router or modem manufacture for support.

We hope that this answer provides you with the information you need to ensure that your Wi-Fi network is using the best security settings. Please let us know if you have any further questions about this topic.

We hope you have a great day!

I found another online forum where this issue was also posted. It looks like the person's modem needed rebooted a few times: Network is blocking encrypted DNS Traffic - Home Network Community (tp-link.com)

Turn off and unplug your modem and/or router for a solid 30 seconds, then plug them back in. Try this once and if it fails, do it again but wait for a full 2 minutes, then plug it back in and let it boot up.
