I had an update for Google translate on my iPhone 5s, version 12.
I tried to upgrade to the update but it didn't work, then I deleted the
Google translate application and tried to reinstall it but I am unable to
complete to installation.
I need help here please.

Thanks for responding. Yes I am able to install other apps and upgrades on both wifi and cellular data.
I just tried to install Google Translate and I got a message, saying that I need 12.4 IOS
to get the latest update and they prompted me "install the older Version of Google Translate"
which I accepted and the app got installed and is working.
Thats good enough for me.
I think its about time I get the latest iPhone.

We appreciate those details. Are you able to install other apps currently? This can help us know if the issue is isolated to Google Translate or not. Does the issue occur on both Wi-Fi and a cellular data connection?

Thank you for your response related to my issue, regarding my inability to reinstall
Google Translate on my iPhone 5s. I am not receiving any error message, its just that the download doesn't complete.
I have checked the article however nothing seems to help. I have tried several times now.
When I had tried to upgrade the update, the application did work but in the App Store it was still showing
upgrade pending to install, thats the time I deleted the Application and tried to reinstall
Cant really understand where I went wrong.

We're glad to hear you've got the issue sorted. Yes, sometimes apps require a later version of iOS in order to install them. We're glad to hear Google Translate gave you the option of installing an older version.
