i put rice in my macbook air because water got in it and i can't open it because of the unique screws. Please help as to what to do now

You can remove the lower case with a P5 Pentalobe Screwdriver to have a look.

Also, once water damaged, it is likely that you have created points of failure regardless of the rice thing. If the failure isn't immediate, it could happen at most any time, especially now that you have rice residue on the circuitry.

Then you'll likely have to mail it in for service. But you might be far better served by buying a new MacBook. Especially if you have grains of rice inside, that can do a lot of damage. Try getsupport.apple.com

Look mate, to put it in plain English, your laptop is water damaged and unlikely to be repaired by anything you do. The good mechanics you're talking about won't be using original Apple parts even if they or you decide its repairable, because it won't be. Follow the advice you've been given and purchase a new one or claim for it on your house insurance assuming you have some?

What country do you live in?

Two things to remember:

Do not put the laptop in rice, and

do not attempt to open it.

It's a bit late, but if you ever get the urge to do something like this again, you should know that the whole rice thing is a myth.

Rice is NOT an effective desiccant.
