iPhone 12 Display brightness issue

Purchased the iPhone 12 Max in May. Display brightness dimmed intermittently. Apple support by phone and text tried since the purchase to resolve the problem without success. A repair by Apple Leeds where purchased also did not remove the problem.

Apple eventually replaced the item. And …..the issue is evident on the new phone. Obviously a design issue somewhere.
