I can see in my log (after the call comes in) when a number is verified (check mark next to the number). That's great to see after the fact, but iPhones should have the option to block calls that are not verified (via STIR/SHAKEN).
This is something that already exists for android devices.

You might also try looking at some of the call blocking apps such as NoMoRoBo or check out what services your carrier offers.

I suggest you submit your concern directly to Apple then. You can do so here: Product Feedback - Apple
Stir/Shaken is implemented by the Cellular carrier.
It prevents caller ID spoofing and number spoofing.
If your carrier has complied with the FCC mandate to implement it, all your calls are verified by the system.
There is nothing to do on Apple’s end.
Blocking all unknown is too broad. I’m seeking to reduce the spam and fraud calls. I’m well aware of other apps, but native support for verified numbers is what I’m looking for. It is specific the the endemic issue.
Right now the log shows the carrier verification, so the carrier is providing the information as required. I’m seeking proactive support as the android phones have for managing the receipt of the calls. Blocking/silencing much as is done for unknown. Effectively using that information the carrier is providing rather than just showing it after the fact.
