How can I retrieve my created desktop icons which changed after uploading desktop to iCloud?

After mistakenly uploading my desktop to iCloud, all of my created/personalized desktop icons changed back to folders or html. Some of these were designs I had created. Is it possible to change them back, or do I have to locate the logos/images and change every folder individually? If you see the attached screenshot, two of them did not change to folders and kept the ones I had created. Why did these remain unchanged?
