Walking workout is not auto-pausing

I have iPhone11 and Appel watch and have installed Nike Run Club (NRC) app on my phone. Whenever I start walking workout from NRC app on phone, and when I stop or take a pause in between, workout timer DOES NOT pause and it continues. I have already ticked (set) auto pause function from Apple Watch setting as well as from watch app on phone. Earlier this function was properly working but since last one month this is not working. Can any one guide/ help to resolve this issue? Thanks.
