no quartz filter in preview

Hi,

I have the M1 MacBook Pro and for some reason do not have the quartz filter in preview - anyone any idea how I can get it installed/add it? I'm trying to compress a huge PDF.

reduce pdf file size Big Sur When I try to reduce pdf file size in Big Sur Preview using export and the Quartz filters, the Reduce File Size filter reduces a 9.9 MB doc to an unusable/unreadable 92 KB doc What happened to the ability to chose a file size reduction? Hope do I get some control back on this?

Change to File Format to save as PDF.
