Brand new Apple remote doesn’t respond to click for skip or fast forward functions. All other functions seem fine. Anyone else have this problem?

If that is accurate, then please update to the current version tvOS, as the Siri Remote (2nd generation) is supported on tvOS 14.5 or later.


Read here how users are intended to use skip in 10 sec increments, or use fast-forward. Alternatively, you can scrub the timeline. Control what’s playing on Apple TV - Using the remote - Apple TV user guide - Apple Support
