iphone xs - apple logo is flashing
My iphone XS continues to flash the apple logo. pressing volume up/volume down/side button does not create a response

In particular, as it's getting stuck at the Apple logo, check out the "If your iPhone turns on but gets stuck during start up" section of the above link. These steps require connecting the iPhone to a computer (Windows or macOS), but you may use a family member's or friend's computer temporarily, if needed.
