Stuck on start up

Stuck on start up

After rebooting with the gray screen many times on my iMac I now have a spinning globe on a gray screen with a 24 hour clock blow it and no progress being made after 30 minutes

Hi Kevin,


It looks like your Mac is trying to start up from macOS Recovery, over the Internet. Depending on your Internet speeds, this could take a while.


For context, the standard macOS Recovery image is around 500 MB (as far as I'm aware). If your Internet speed is slow, it may take a while to download the image and start up from it.
