Text thread recovery
How do you get your text thread back after it was accidentally deleted?

Go to:
Settings > Your Name, iCloud, etc
Tap iCloud
Are Messages turned on (green)?
If they are and you deleted a text message, it's gone and it can't be retrieved
If Messages are not turned, your only hope is if you have a backup made from before you deleted the message. You can then restore from that backup. But be advised that any messages sent or received after the date the backup was made will be gone.
