Partial black screen for newly installed screen for 2017 13" mbp

What could be causing this? I've tried resetting nvram and pram and smc. Still no luck. Please see photo below.

Here are some steps you can take to isolate the issue.

Nevertheless, the Mac will likely need to be serviced. Contact Apple Support for further assistance.

Hi Sean,

I've run the diagnostics and came back nothing wrong.

The external display, displays everything correctly.

I will try running from recovery. It could also just be a faulty screen.
