i cant update my apple watch

Cant update the software of my apple watch and cant pair it to my iphone

i think the software version is IOS 1

My Iphone X is totally destroyed and it was paired to my watch

so i erased the watch from Find my iphone and i reset it and i am trying to pair it to my Iphone 6

it says that i must update the watch software and i cant access neither to the watch or to the mobile application

What model of phone is it and what version of ios is it running?

What model of watch is it and what version of WatchOS is it running?.

What troubleshooting steps have you tried?.

What errror messages are you receiving?.

Has this watch ever been paired to another phone?

For an apple watch 5 you need a phone with at least ios13 to get watchos6 and ios14 to get watchos7,your iphone 6 wont update higher than ios12,you need an iphone 6s or higher.
