how to update your browser

The Safari browser is typically updated with an update to macOS.

From time to time Apple will release a software update specific to Safari.

Use App Store app to check for any software updates that may be available for your Mac.

Launch the App Store app: click the Apple menu  > App Store. Then click Updates in the left pane of the app.

Apply any updates that are presented for your macOS software or Safari updates.

If there are no updates presented, then presumably your software is up to date.

Note - apply only updates, not upgrades.
