Purple Lines

Hello my name is Alex I noticed that my iPhone 12 mini can’t handle dark mode very well , when dark mode is on if iam in settings for example and I start to scroll through the menu after a short period of inactivity purple lines appear in the edges of the gray tiles is really annoying. At first I thought it was a software issue but I have revive several updates but the issue remains . Iam wondering should sent my phone back ?

Thanks for your reply. Thank you for testing all the different options. Yes, you can restore to factory settings to see if that will resolve the issue. You will want to setup as new, rather than restore from backup for this situation. Make sure you have a backup prior to the restore: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

Thank you for contacting us. You have come to the right place and we are happy to assist you. We understand you're seeing purple lines when in dark mode intermittently.   We can understand why you’d reach out for a solution. We see that you have the most current operating system installed. There could be a couple reasons why you could be seeing this. First does it do it in light mode? Are you connected to secure Wi-Fi with password? Or is it happening when using cellular data?


Adjust the screen brightness and color on iPhone - Toggle each setting in the article and see if the issue occurs.


Get started with accessibility features on iPhone - Toggle the settings in this article, paying close attention to Smart Invert, Color Filters, Transparency.


Make sure you have backups prior to making any major system changes: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Hey , I really appreciate the help, I tried everything except erase the iphone completely nothing works.

In light mode there is no problem everything works well. I am also connected in secure Wi-Fi with password and the problem also appears when I am in cellular data . I toggle every setting but the problem remains do you think I should reset my phone ? And if the problem continues what should I do ?
