Pocket Dialing Through Messages App When Phone is Locked

To start I have an iPhone 12 Pro. The issue that I am having is that the phone dials people when in my pocket. Yes I lock it before I put in in there by using the side button, and I have Face ID enabled. The odd thing is that it alway gets the contacts from the first conversation in my messaging app. Somehow it is dialing the person who is on top, or today about 8 people in a family group text. So it has to hit multiple places to call that person/group though the messages app. Any help will be greatly appreciated. If you need any extra details please let me know as well.
