As I understand it, the Sidecar feature allows you to use an iPad as a second display for a Mac. In order to set up the connection, however, the Mac must already have a monitor connected, such as the built in display of an iMac or a regular monitor for a Mac mini.


So, no, you cannot use the iPad as the only monitor for a Mac mini.
