if i cancel will my pictures get deleted

if pay for storage monthly when i do cancel will my pictures still be saved or will they be deleted? (on my mac)

Anything on iCloud exceeding 5GB will be deleted from iCloud. They will not be deleted from your Mac's local storage if they are also there.
