New Apple ID Verification Issue

Whenever I enter the verification code texted to my iPhone in order to activate my new Apple ID, I receive the following message "The request cannot be processed at this time. Please try again later." I've attempted activating my Apple ID on my iPhone and computer, multiple times, on two different days. What can I do to resolve this issue?

Do you have access to another WiFi network where you can try? 


If necessary, contact Apple ID Support for assistance.  See the Apple Support articles below for contact information.
