Dark app icons and all type gone grey

All of a sudden some of my apps (BBC news usually red but now grey) and the text on my iPad have gone grey. I have rebooted it and updated. Any ideas what I can do?

Lets double check some items in settings:

Open Settings ➔ Accessibility ➔ Display & Text Size : Here ensure that every option is set to OFF except Automatic Brightness. See whether that resolves the screen display issue on your iPad.

You may have tried the following however here it is in the event that you have not. Please see below:

Force restart iPad

On an iPad with a Home button: Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
On other iPad models: Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the top button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.

Have checked and only one that is not off is auto brightness. Has been working fine and then this afternoon we noticed change to colour. When entering passcode to open iPad the return key is light purple now.

Apologies for the delay but we probably have a time difference.

Have tried the force restart this morning and it is still the same.
